A nationally-ranked children's hospital was the first in Illinois to be recognized by the American College of Surgeons as a Level 1 children’s surgery center, which is achieved only by meeting the highest standards for training, staffing, quality improvement and care. The facility is also a designated Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center, equipped to handle the most severely injured children.
Adding EBTRON duct mounted airflow measuring stations to the facility's current design offered optimal control for volumetric offset and helped maintain positive pressure in all operating rooms.
